Low demand for narrow-body freighters has airlines restructuring their cargo operations

According to news reports, AirExplore, a subsidiary of Avia Solutions Group, headquartered in Slovakia, will withdraw from cargo and focus on passenger transport due to limited demand for narrow-body freighters. Earlier this month, it vaguely stated that it would adjust its cargo business. Due to the slowdown in business, it reduced 2-3 freighters, returned and subleased some aircraft. Now only two freighters are in operation, three are grounded, and two are leased. Its sister company SmartLynx Airlines has also shelved its narrow-body freighter fleet. Previously, Bluebird Nordic, WestJet Airlines, etc. also adjusted cargo due to poor business. Most third-party suppliers of narrow-body aircraft lack long-term contracts and are difficult to make profits.
